Refund & Cancellation Policy

Because we fabricate custom countertops and surfaces cut to your specific space, this policy explains how deposits, cancellations and refunds work at Officina della Materia LLC. We want every customer to be treated fairly and to understand exactly where their money stands.

Before fabrication begins

You may cancel a job for a full refund of your deposit at any time before we cut material — that is, before fabrication of your slab has started. Just call us at (954) 507-3862 and we will return the deposit by the same method it was paid.

After fabrication has started

Once we have cut or begun fabricating material to your measurements, the slab cannot be reused for another customer. If you cancel after fabrication has started, we refund your deposit minus the documented cost of material and labor already committed to your job. We will show you those costs.

Balance and installation

The balance for a job is only due after your surface is installed and inspected at your property. You do not pay the balance until the work is complete and you have walked through it with our crew.

If something is wrong with the install

If the finished installation does not match your approved quote or has a workmanship defect, we will come back and correct it at no charge under our one-year workmanship warranty. We would rather fix a problem than argue about it.

No online purchases

We do not sell any product for online purchase or shipment, so there are no online orders, digital goods, or shipped items to return. All refunds relate to in-person fabrication and installation jobs only.
